Fresh Session : Joe Pug on The LaundroMatinee
The up-and-coming Joe Pug stopped by The Laundromatinee.com's VIBES II location to perform our first outdoor session. In the six months since self-releasing the Nation of Heat EP, Pug landed a major booking agency (Monterey International) and sold out his first two headlining shows in Chicago. Nic Harcourt recently played Hymn 101 on Morning Becomes Eclectic after it was featured as KCRW's Top Tune. The song was also recently featured on NPR's Second stage with a glowing review. Pug is truly a rising star and we're thrilled to help in any way we can. That's a nice session. I like the cricket, actually. Sort of gives it a front porch feel. It also reminds me of the Great Lake Swimmers s/t album which was recorded in an old silo and also had some crickets chirping throughout.
