Human Highway : Moody Motorcycle

One of my favorite albums I've heard this year, so far at least, is the new collaboration project between Nick Thornburn, of Islands, and Canadian folk singer Jim Guthrie dubbed Human Highway.
When on tour together for Islands, Thornburn and Guthrie wrote My Beach in a Tuscon, AZ hotel. They liked it so much they decided to push the project forward. A year later, the two met up in Toronto and put the album together in just one week. According to Thornburn, they spent the entire week both sleeping on, and recording on, Jim’s living room couch. Comparisions to the Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkle and other folk/pop greats of the 50s and 60s abound.
Moody Motorcycle will be released August 19th by Suicide Squeeze.
This album is full of really great songs, so picking one to feature was really tough.

3 Talk back to yo' mama!:
Amazing album. One of my favorite albums this year too.
How have you guys been listening to the album. Let a brotha know.
That's strange that you're talking about enjoying this album. I just recently saw these guys walk in to a Los Angeles motorcycle accident lawyers office because someone hit their tour bus or some how caused it to go off the road, and that person was on a bike.
