The Wet Secrets : Rock Fantasy
The Wet Secrets contain members from various Canadian projects such at Shout Out Out Out Out (an MOKB fav!), Whitey Houston, The Vertical Struts, Dirt City Films and Capital City Burlesque. Their new album, Rock Fantasy, features remixes by Shout Out Out Out Out lead Nik Kozub and Canadian rapper Cadence Weapon.
MOKB first heard of them from Nik 7, when he sent us a new batch of sweet remixes. We got our taste then and craved more. Now we have it and love it. The band isn't brand new or anything. In 2005 they released Whale Of A Cow and garnered much praise and push on Canadian CBC Radio 3, but all the projects mentioned previously sucked the time away and they fell into the abyss. Now they're back and ready to make a go of it. Humorously dressing as a marching band on the live stage, the band insist they are no joke - just having a good time.
In truth, the song titles were enough for us to check the whole thing out immediately. Classics like Grow Your Own Fucking Moustache, Asshole, Tea Bagged Myself and The Chinball Wizard begged to be listened to.
Gritty fuzz rock, more than a few horns and a bit of electronica tossed about back an entertaining bunch of songs filled with humorous lyrics. Well worth your time.

great band. they share a member with the whitsundays too, don't forget them!
Extremely entertaining live show, as is every show for every band I've ever seen Lyle Bell in. He has the Midas touch in rock.
