The Republic Tigers : Keep Color

Even in this floundering economy, tracks on Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, appearances on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic along with an upcoming tour with Nada Surf have The Republic Tigers' stock on the rise. Their songs contrast subtle and athemic all at once. Mixing guitar-driven psych-pop and folk-rock with layered vocal harmonies and electronic backgrounds give this album a soaring yet relaxing vibe.
The band will make an Indianapolis appearance on June 9th with Nada Surf at The Music Mill.

5 Talk back to yo' mama!:
hey. i love this blog. i do not love the republic tigers. i saw them with jukebox the ghost and tally hall in brooklyn recently, and they were dicks, plain and simple.
i suggest getting there late and only catching the last song before nada surf. the rest of the songs will sound just like it anyway.
eeeenteresting...planning a session with them when they're here...hope they're cooler when not performing.
How was Jukebox The Ghost? Planning on bringing them to town for a show with Via Audio.
Maybe it was an off-day. Kenn is an old buddy of mine, and one of the most cordial people on the face of the planet. I can't wait for their show at the Mill.
omg, can't wait for the gossip girl soundtrack SO glad buildings & mountains made it on there! i'm totally buying mine the day it comes out!
i'm just now seeing this. thanks thom. i apologize to the first anonymous. i doubt you will see this, but it was an off night within the band. i don't remember what happened, but if we somehow took it out on you or anyone else, i really apologize. please give us another chance. we're coming back to new york in april, with travis, at webster hall, and i'd like to buy you a drink and put you on the guest list. if you would be so kind, send a message to the republic tigers myspace page, and we'll get it done.
peace,
kenn jankowski
