Bodies Of Water : New Album & Indianapolis Date

My Old Kentucky Blog & Standard Recording Co. are bringing Bodies Of Water to Indianapolis on August 19th! The show will be at Local's Only for $8. Support is yet to be determined. Stay tuned for presale info.
I spent most of this week listening to Bodies Of Water's new release A Certain Feeling. It's a gorgeous album, building on their last great release Ears Will Pop, Eyes Will Blink. Organ-filled, gospel-infused, and crossed with tribal-psych on a firm 70s-influenced pop base. I can barely get past the first song, Gold, Tan, Peach & Grey, without hitting repeat four times in a row. The album will be released in July on Secretly Canadian.
Under The Pines, second song on the album and the freebie here, is a fast-paced, powerful number that displays the fantastic harmonies this band always brings to each release.

New, hot and related...
Gala Bell, frontwoman for the new project Music Go Music along with her mates Kamer Maza and TORG, all have unannounced ties to Bodies Of Water, but one or two close listens may reveal them to you. They just released their debut 12" inch on Bloomington, Indiana-based label Secretly Canadian. It is seriously awesome fantasy pop...sort of if Heavy Metal and The Neverending Story had a bastard child.

Just a Louisville native (and Chicago transplant) stopping in to say that I love your Colonel Sanders mascot and your picture of the Ville skyline with the old fountain!
