Backyard Tire Fire : Sun Studios Session & Free Acoustic EP
Backyard Tire Fire were in Bloomington, IN last night for a show with Reverend Horton Heat and Nashville P**sy. The band will release their next full length record, The Places We Lived, in August, but this past February, to tide their fans, they released a free acoustic EP entitled Sick Of Debt. We're pushing to get them back over to Indianapolis, for a show, this Fall, but may be lucky enough to get them back in the studio this summer. Our last time with them was loads of fun and yielded some great songs. I've really been enjoying these sessions recorded and filmed at Sun Studios in Memphis, and was happy to see that BTF recorded one recently...

These guys are awesome. Vagabonds and Hooligans was one of my favorites of 2007. They're a little all over the map stylistically, but once you get past that it's great songwriting, vocals with very interesting texture.
yes, killer band!! And, a bunch of great guys as you know. Good to see them getting the MOKB Sirius, Daytrotter & Sun Sessions hat trick!
