My Old Kentucky Blog: Photo Recap : Obama-Rama : 033108 : an music blog you can't tell your mom about.

Last night's Standard Recording Company and My Old Kentucky Blog present...OBAMA-RAMA! probably wasn't what some of the political conservatives that showed up were expecting. It wasn't a classy, well-funded event, but it did have lots of free food and $1 BUSCH. I mean, come on, I know Barack Obama is down with that. Shit, even if he isn't, I am.

We had a good time. The performances were excellent - again maybe not what those not-yet-introduced to the world of Munice-psych rock/art/performance/DJ/rock were expecting or used to, and I can see why a couple people might have been turned off by the whole thing, but again, let's not be afraid to get out of our comfort zone a little. It was a little wacky, a little off-kilter, but it was for a cause we all supported. No, we didn't raise barrels full of money, but we raised enough to be proud of it, and more importantly, we got a lot of people informed and registered to vote.
