Win This! : Whigs Tickets & Panda Bear Hat Winner

Locals: There's a great show this coming Friday (2/15) at Birdy's! The Whigs, Tulsa and Wax Fang will all be on the same bill and rocking your socks off. MOKB is giving away two tickets to the show. In order to win, in the comments, tell me your favorite local hang...
The Whigs - Right Hand On My Heart
The Whigs - Like A Vibration (Live in-studio on MOKB Blog Radio)
The Whigs - Already Young (Live in-studio on MOKB Blog Radio)
Tulsa - Breathe Thin
Tulsa - Mass
Wax Fang - Cannibal Summer
Wax Fang - Avant Guardian Angel Dust (instrumental)
The winner of the Panda Bear hat and a one year subscription to FADER is Hammerjack. It would've been mean to tease and then not follow through on that...Anyway, we loved Icy Demons so much it elicited a post and me seeking out all three of their albums.
If you didn't win, head over to You Ain't No Picasso for another chance to win. Plus, Matty unveiled a new design!

18 Talk back to yo' mama!:
How much is the show?
Also be sure to check out The Whigs, Wax Fang, and Spinto Band at The Dame in Lexington, KY on March 1st!
Yay!
$10 - why ask? just win the free tix!
well, because they're only two free tickets. don't you want others to know too?
good point. sorry!!!
Hilarious. Five (now six) comments in, and yet no one has entered to win the free tickets. Yes, tickets are valued at $10 a piece and can be purchased on Ticketmaster.com.
Yess.
Sweet thanks alot.
What size is the hat/ what info do you need?
Do i have to take my wife?
The Upper Room in Broadripple. Great place to chill with some fellas, have a few brews, and talk about music without having to scream your ass off at each other over the room noise.
i like the wellington, although i don't go there as much as i'd like. seating is cozy, music is great, drinks are cold and refreshing. yummm!
Hey I live in Cincinnati, but I would be willing to make the drive for the show. My favorite hang is Alive one here in Cincinnati.
When it's nice out, I really like Monkey's Tail for drinks.
Two kids makes hanging out less possible these days. The Brewhouse in Zionsville -- close by and you can have a conversation. Just saw Okkervil River are going to play Bloomington . . .
Favorite hangout.....hmmm.......
All things considered, I have to go with the Alley Cat. The digital jukebox and influx of collared shirt college students has worn the charm off a bit. But the bartenders are still friendly, the drinks are still cheap and stiff, and it is still my best chance to run into random friends on a Friday night.
And I saw The Whigs on Letterman recently. They rocked a lot harder than I would have guessed. The show should be a good one.
Favorite local hangout...that's a tough one. It used to be the Patio without a doubt. Now I'd have to say Locals Only. They've got a great beverage selection so I can enjoy the music on nights when PBR is all I can afford; yet, I can still find a delicious Belgian brew or a stiff drink when the night calls for celebration. Also, the crowd at Local always seems to be diverse music appreciators. Pretty good food on the menu and excellent service.
I agree with Jeremy, with a child it's not often we get out, but that's kinda what having a kid is all about..hanging out with them, right? anyway, my pick is Old Point Tavern, good beer and good people.
you made me do it!
The Dugout!!! where else do you reak of smoke when you only stop in to get your pizza. One of the few local hangouts where a beer is less than $2.50 daily.
The Alley Cat after a show. Strong drinks, band members come there after their gigs, and Craig spits up his drinks there sometimes too ..
