The Silver State : Cut & Run

Caleb Lindskoog and his project The Silver State have been riding some Indianapolis buzz. Lindskoog is a native of Las Vegas who now lives in Brooklyn, but he recorded his latest album, Cut & Run, here in Indianapolis at Margot and The Nuclear So & Sos' Queensize Recording Studio with local Vess Rhutenberg (of The Lemonheads) handling production. The Margot kids were so impressed they've ask The Silver State to open for their upcoming tour.
Cut & Run is full of stories of love, betrayal and loss. The stories feel lonely and sad, but beautiful at the same time. Within these songs, Lindskoog is obviously working through some pain and baggage, but we are all the beneficiaries of his strife.
Even though this is The Silver State debut, Caleb is not new to the game. During the past half decade, he has been a part of recording projects with Secretly Canadian artist June Panic, Vess Ruhtenberg (The Lemonheads), Heidi Gluck (Some Girls), former Las Vegas bandmate Ronnie Vannucci (The Killers) and Andy Fry (Margot and the Nuclear So and So's). Cut and Run will be released by Young American Recordings on April 1, 2008.
