The Hoosiers : The Trick To Life

You might think that a band stealing the moniker of one of the greatest basketball movies of all time, and not even being from the state of Indiana, might draw my wrath. I considered ignoring them, but then I found out a couple of them played soccer at Indiana University, thus the name, and the intrigue was enough to give them a listen. So, in giving them a listen, I had to give them a fair shake.
The Hoosiers are a little late to the game - trouble at the border I presume. They will more than appeal to all fans of the whole brit-pop/new wave/falsetto lead vocals trend that was in full effect a couple years ago. It's fun, bouncy and emotive 80s-style brit-pop. Nothing wholly groundbreaking, but if you're into that sound, you'll be into these guys. Plus, I mean, great cover choices...
In the fairly recent rash of video games going indie, The Hoosiers contributed, Goodbye Mr A. to the EA Sports FIFA 2008 soundtrack. The game's soundtrack also has tracks from Santogold, CSS, !!!, Peter Bjorn & John, Simian Mobile Disco, and loads, loads more.
The Hoosiers - Worried About Ray
The Hoosiers - Goodbye Mr. A
Cover Bonus:
The Hoosiers - LoveStoned (Justin Timberlake Cover)
The Hoosiers - We Didn't Start The Fire (Billy Joel Cover)

I'm not familiar with this band, but that's a compelling take on LoveStoned - snagging the others you've uploaded as well. Thanks!
