Weeds : August 13th Return
I talked about my enjoyment of Flight Of The Conchords and John From Cincinnati (although last night's episode was off the charts hard to follow), but the show MJ and I are most looking forward to the return of is Weeds.
Last season, one of the things I enjoyed most were the opening theme song covers of Malvina Reynold's Little Boxes. We heard from Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Tim DeLaughter of the Polyphonic Spree, Death Cab For Cutie and Regina Spektor among others. This year a variety of artists have been selected to cover the opener...Joan Baez, Billy Bob Thornton, Michael Franti, Donovan, The Shins and Man Man will all give it a shot, so be on the look out for those after the season starts on August 13th. The only thing keeping me from going into full blown "the office" withdrawl is knowing that soon I'll be able to watch Weeds again. Actually that sounded really pathetic, I do get out. Anyway I can't wait to hear Man Man's cover, sounds awesome.
