SXSW Interview : Prototypes
During SXSW 2007, I did a series of small interviews of up-and-coming bands playing our Hot Freaks! party at Club DeVille and The Mohawk. I was joined in this interview by my great friend and fellow blogger, Chris Cantalini of Gorilla Vs. Bear and Isabelle, lead singer of The Prototypes.
This was a tough one. It was very spur-of-the-moment, and we were completely unprepared. Isabelle honestly speaks pretty good english compared to the way most Americans speak a second language. I was losing my voice most of this day and Chris and I stumble around a lot in this interview, but it was still fun. Isabelle didn't really know much about blogs, but she loves MySpace.

Love your blog. So much so that I'm soliciting your contribution to a website that I've scraped together with a friend of mine (http://popyoulist.com). In brief, the site is kinda like wikipedia, but without the oh so constrictive confines of being truthful. It's a sit full of user-generated lists. Many are amusing (e.g. http://popyoulist.com/wiki1.6/index.php/Hillary_Clinton%27s_Favorite_Lines_From_the_2003_Film_Mona_Lisa_Smile) and some are less amusing (e.g. http://popyoulist.com/wiki1.6/index.php/Edible_root_vegetables_native_to_temperate_regions ).
I and the popyoulist community (small but growing quickly) would truly appreciate it if you were to contribute a list. For example, I would really like a list of BANDS THAT SOUND LIKE GNARLS BARKLEY or maybe BEST 10 BANDS OF THE LAST 10 YEARS or whatever else strikes your fancy.
