Pop Levi : The Return to Form Black Magick Party
There is some serious Led Zeppelin channeling going on here at times and I love it. It's good to hear the 70's rock sounds coming back in 2007. Most of the time it's "astral" psychedelic rock with infectious hooks, but it switches up sometimes into melodious pop. The album offers great tunes to both pop and rock fans. Pop Levi is from Liverpool, England and has been he has been a member of the band Super Numeri, as well as playing bass with Ladytron. Pop Levi's debut album is called The Return to Form Black Magick Party and you can buy it at Ninjatune or Amazon. Blue Honey and Pick Me Up Uppercut are also great tracks. Pop Levi will be playing Coachella on Saturday, April 28th. Pop Levi's MySpace.
