Iggy & The Stooges : My Idea Of Fun
The new Iggy and The Stooges album is called the The Weirdness and it's their first release in 33 years since 1973's Raw Power. This album features three of the four original band members – Iggy Pop, guitarist Ron Asheton and drummer Scott Asheton, and the ex-Minutemen and fIREHOSE bassist Mike Watt fills in the final spot. The album will be out March 6th of this year.
The Stooges wrote over 30 songs for the record, then rehearsed in Ann Arbor, Michigan before they entered the Chicago studio of esteemed producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) in early October. The album was mastered in the UK at Abbey Road Studios.
