Klaxons
I can't stop listening to the Klaxons. Their new Xan Valleys EP was released this week by Modular. They take all those deep house raver beats that were all the rage six or seven years ago and bring in some post punk-pop psychedelia. Maybe it's kinda like Moby on steriods, but better.
Wow. So I just checked elbo.ws to see who else was digging these guys, and it's like the whole blogosphere. Sooo, I'm slow to the party, but I'm glad I finally got there. Klaxons' MySpace.

One listen to ‘Atlantis To Interzone’ and the several miles of dots between those influences are quickly joined, where screaming sirens and samples straight out of a field in ‘89 give way to the punked out half-falsetto, half melodic breakneck vocals and drums.

yeah the klaxons put a new twist on the old rave sound. they supposedly put on crazy shows, too (most buzzed about out of the UK festivals).
Yeahh they're real good live, let the whole crowd on stage on the final song and everything got wrecked. i managed to run off with the keyboardists jacket too :].
