Teddybears Stockholm
Holy shiz, I love this band! I might be sick of them in a week though...I don't know. It's like the Caesars and Jerk It Out maybe. Maybe not, we'll see. Teddybears Stockholm are, as their name states, from Stokholm, Sweden. I heard their song Cobrastyle on Entourage the other night and knew I had to check them out (I guess the track is also on the EA Sports FIFA 2006 gametrack & a TAB commercial(!?)). These tracks are very different, hard to believe they are by the same band, but both great in different ways. Yours To Keep is an idealistic 80's style summer jam, while Automatic Lover is an electronic dance groove with video game beats and synth effects throughout. Little Stereo continues that theme, but with reggae-style vocals. To show the bad with the good, Hey Boy is very "Smashmouthy" and you could definitely expect to hear something like it on your local teeny-bop/MTV radio station.
This band has been around since 1991! Where have I been? I guess they started off as a hardcore band and then switched things up in 2000 bringing in the electronica feel. Teddybears Stockholm's MySpace.

The first tune is nice. cardigans-like. So the vocals aren't female, just distorted? or guest vocals?
Yeah, "Hey Boy" reminds me of a Smash Mouth/"Weapon of Choice" mash.
The guest vocals on "Yours to keep" is Paula, former wife of one of the Ahlund-brothers.
The brother on the left is actually in Ceasars.

Some correct info here: The guest female vocal on "Yours To Keep" is none other than Neneh Cherry. I dunno who the Paula woman is, but she could be in the mix too (my advance CD lists Neneh, tho).
Iggy Pop handles a track called "Punkrocker" (not as great as it sounds on paper).
"Cobrastyle" is the jumpin' jam on the record tho. Bomb-diggity...

You're both right - there is two versions of "Yours to Keep" floating around. The album version features Neneh Cherry, and there is an older version with the other female vocalist. I actually find the older one quite a bit more charming than the Neneh version...
yeah there are definitely two versions of yours to keep, i have them both. I like the one ft. paula alot better than the Neneh cherry version, and i was wondering if anybody knew anything about paula, i can't seem to find anything.
