Man Man - Six Demon Bag
My obsession this week has been Man Man...they're like old europe's past crossed with music's future. I'm really looking forward to the new album, Six Demon Bag, as everything I've heard is excellent. I gotta believe that these guys would blow my socks off live and will make it my mission to see that happens in the future.
Best description from Are You Familiar: A live act featuring four players, Man Man are almost impossible to describe; their music is at once pop, experimental, indie, and just plain bizarre. Imagine The Decemberists really did get lost at sea in the 18th century, were forced to make their own instruments out of driftwood and animal parts, went slightly insane, and developed a taste for the circus.
Man Man's MySpace is pretty funny. Here are three of the songs off the new album and a few older ones from their S/T album. You need to listen to them all...I mean it...do it. do it. do it.

the new gnarls is waaaay better than any of Cee-Lo's solo work.
Thanks for the reference there. Yeah, Man Man are amazing, and they DO rock live (we brought them to Toronto for a show, and it was everything you'd imagine). Nice coverage.
