New Year's Eve...
New Year's is always a weird time. Generally it never lives up. Last year on New Years, MJ and I went skiing at a small resort and planned to do that again this year because it was pretty flawless, but it's a little warm, so we decided to wait a few weeks and just party hop tonight.

I had a great 2005 and MOKB was a big part of that, getting to know so many of you all out there was really the most special part of it. I hope I've brought a lot of new music to a lot of you out there. The process has definitely done so for me. This is a special time for me as it was also kinda the time last year that MJ and I righted our ship for the most part and got our marriage back on track. Anyway, MOKB's one year anniversary is not until next weekend, but seeing as how it's the start of a new year and all I just wanted to thank you all in advance. I have more than fistfulls of love for all of you. Antony & The Johnsons - Fistfull of Love. Antony's album is one that wasn't in my Top Albums of the Year, but the more I listen to it this past week, the more I know it really should have been. It's pretty outstanding.
Seeing as how 2006 will surely bring loads of new and great blogs, I wanted to introduce you to a good one to start your new year. I Guess I'm Floating is absolutely chock full of goodies, so check it out often this year. Conner has put out a nice product for you. He brings you Morningwood - Nth Degree and a ton more. I hadn't found this song in mp3 format until his site, (I didn't really look before his site) and it made me happy when I did.
Well, going into the new year, you might need some theme music and if you do then I highly suggest you check out this great tune by the Mountain Goats: This Year.
Thanks for a great 2005 and Happy New Year to all of you out there!

11 Talk back to yo' mama!:
Thank YOU for all the great music leads! Looking forward to more next year.
Thanks is definately in need for you mr. old kentucky blog. I have gotten more out of your site than most this year (including the fact that there are ski slopes in Indiana) and owe alot of my newly found music to you.
Cheers and enjoy.

I stumbled across your blog today and am so excited about all the cool music leads you've got posted on here! I like the Mountain Goats song.
i second that shout out on "I guess I'm floating." I pillaged that site today and got a ton of great quality sounds.
Happy New Year, Dodge & MJ! Hope '06 is even better than '05 for you guys. Y'all rock.
wow, I Guess I'm Floating looks is better than half the blogs I have bookmarked so far, and judging by his Best of 2005, it's going to be worth the attention.
Hey, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I just set up a nice little "favorite songs of 2005" list with lots of downloads. i dunno if you want to make a post about it, I'm just trying to make a name for myself so to speak because I just started with this whole blog thing and it'd be nice to gain some readers.

I'm new to your website, but I've been making daily stops now for a week and am digging what I see. There was a great NPR review of Antony and the Johnsons a couple of months ago. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4954080
I'll keep coming back as long as you put up good music suggestions. Happy New Year!
