El Perro Del Mar
Here is a musical find I am really digging on! El Perro Del Mar was founded in December 2003 by its only member, Sarah Assbring. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, she released her first songs through Hybris, a Swedish label based in Stockholm/Malmö. In November 2004 El Perro Del Mar released the three-track ep What's New? El perro del mar. She also worked together with fellow Swede Jens Lekman and together they released a split vinyl single on which Sarah contributed the song 'Shake it off'. The single was available in Sweden and in the U.S via Secretly Canadian - but it was quickly sold out. Following this, the two toured Sweden together while simulataneously working on a new EP that was released in November of 2005 in Sweden and is likely to be released here in the US in March of 2006.

I'm still in Louisville and just taking it easy, posting will be sporadic at best until Thursday. Hope you all had/are having a great holiday break.

7 Talk back to yo' mama!:
Pretty good finds, although her "Oh, What A Christmas" (available on her web site) is sung as if she's missing some bottom teeth. Not my favorite Christmas tune this year, but then I'm partial to Hilary Duff's "Last Christmas".
wait, her name is sarah assbring? that is awesome.
cool songs though.
Oh this is nice! Thanks for the find Dodge, btw el Perro del mar means "the dog of the sea".
Chau.
I am pleased as punch to have my blog be considered New 2006 MP3 Hotness. Just what I wanted for Christmas. Thanks Dodge.

that's right Moka... i took Spanish from 2nd to 11th grade and I actually did know that one!
However, for taking spanish that long, I am ridiculously bad at times. last time in mexico though, i did pretty well. My french is worse though, I was in Paris once and ordered a Fromage sandwich thinking it was roast beef...i was pissed at my self when all i got back was to pieces of bread and a piece of cheese.
I sold a car MJ had once to a Guatamaulan, but neither of us spoke the kind of spanish that the other could fully grasp...that was a pretty funny transaction. babbling...
