I'm working late tonight, Honey...
So I'm sleepy, unmotivated and fairly indifferent today...I'm glad it's Friday. I'm going to eat lunch with the kids from work. I don't normally do that, as I generally like to keep work friends at work and not too personal. Getting too close to people at work can be risky. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of friends at work, I just try to keep them at work and in the dark about my personal life in most degrees. I don't know if any of them really know about MOKB, I don't really believe so.Before the Lovely, I always ended up dating a girl from work and it always ended up a nightmare. Because I worked in the creative web biz, I was moving from job to job every 6 or so months, so there were new, young, single ladies at each biz. I'm a "designer" not a "programmer", so you don't get the IT nerd label. It's pretty sweet. Don't get me wrong, though, I love IT nerds - some of my best friends. Anyway, you'd think I would've learned after the first time, but I was young and single too, so whattaya gonna do? I'd be "dating" a work girl and everyone would be all up in my shiz. "What's going on with you and blah blah?", "Do you like her?", "Are you hittin' that bro?" Oh!, and big, big mistake if you at all alluded to the fact that you were "hittin' that". Everybody knew in like 3 seconds flat. All drama, all the time...I hate drama now. But, those were the old days and drama was kinda fun.
Hopefully everyone has had a similar work girl/guy nightmare story...it really should be a life lesson everyone should get to experience.
Anyway, as so many people warn, blogging and work don't mix so I'll move on.

I just agree : work girl/guy can lead us to an awful nightmare. But we don't always choose the one we fell in love with...

Man, do I know the perils of dating in the workplace. I'm a newspaper reporter and have dated a string of photographers. Talk about gossip in the workplace hitting you hard. It's rough.

Franswa - "The Lovely" is a shortened form of what Dodge is always calling his wife - The Lovely Wife. But yes, still a very cute nickname :)
