Handsome Boy Modeling School - White People: It's A Handsome Thing
HBMS's last album, their 2nd - White People: It's A Handsome Thing, kinda came and went it seemed, so I believe it should be revisited because it is just so good.

White People brings together all corners of the musical spectrum: hip-hop, rock, soul, roots, alternative and jazz. HBMS have put together a seamless cast of players that include: Del The Funky Homosapien, Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), RZA, Jack Johnson, Alex Kapronos (Franz Ferdinand), Mars Volta, Pharell, Cat Power, El-P and more. I mean, damn! The music on this disc is so varied, so diverse. It's really quite fantastic...a terrific effort at blending musical formats without paying any particular attention to genre or style. This fantastic style-twisting and blending is possibly the downfall of this album. It crosses so many genres that it doesn't have one particular audience, if you want just rap, it's not for you, if you want just rock or alternative, it's not for you. You really have to like many and all genres of music or else you'll just listen to a few tracks on the album and the rest will go to waste.

2 Talk back to yo' mama!:
Love that Cat Power collaboration, definitely the pick of that album (I guess this is speaking from an alt.rock appetite though)
